Educational Qualification:
The minimum Educational Qualification required for Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) Recruitment 2023 under Odisha State Selection Board (OSSB) are as follows:-
- A candidate must have a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University or an integrated six years Post Graduate Master’s course from Regional College of Education recognized by NCERT with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
- A candidate must have acquired B.Ed. or equivalent Degree recognized by National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi as equivalent with B.Ed. from a recognized University / Institution.
- B.Ed. qualification is not the mandatory eligibility criterion for the post of PGT in Anthropology, Commerce, Education, Geography, Home Science, Logic & Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, IRPM, Telugu & Urdu subjects.
- B.Ed. qualification is the mandatory criterion for the post of PGT in Botany, Chemistry, Economics, English, Geology, Hindi, History, Mathematics, Odia, Physics, Political Science, Sanskrit, and Zoology subjects.
- Provided that candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, SEBC & PwD shall possess a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University / Institution with at least 50% marks or its equivalent grade.
Age Limit:
The Age Limit for SSB Odisha PGT Recruitment 2023 is as follows
- Minimum Age of the Candidate: 21 Years
- Maximum Age of the Candidate: 38 Years
- The candidate must not have been born not earlier than 02/01/1985 and not later than 01/01/2002
- Age relaxation as per the Govt. rules.
